If you are looking for an exhilarating adrenalin rush, stop by T4’s Dino Kart. Till 31 December, you can experience the thrill of go-karting, either in the Novice Circuit ($8) or the Pro Circuit ($10). In the latter, the electric karts go up to 24km/hr. T4 also boasts Dino Bounce ($8 or free with every $30 ($80 for supermarkets) spend), a bouncy castle with 30m of play area, especially for you to unleash your inner child!

In T3’s departure hall, a 2-storey snow house awaits you. With temperatures as low as -10°C, this tokidoki Snow Holiday ($13.90 or free with every $30 ($80 for supermarkets) spend) would definitely be a welcome respite from Singapore’s sweltering heat. Spend your time riding the 12m snow luge, playing with snow, and getting photo opportunities with cute tokidoki characters!

Next, head over to Jewel Changi Airport for a once-in-a-lifetime experience of a Glampicnic in the Clouds (from $160). In luxurious tents set up at the Cloud9 Piazza, feel free to bring and enjoy your favourite festive meals, or simply lounge around.
2. Gardens by the Bay
A classic place for celebrations, Gardens by the Bay never fails to disappoint us. Christmas Wonderland is back once again, albeit with a slight online spin. Step into a virtual winter landscape. This 370m self-guided tour ($5) will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Do remember to pre-book your tickets as on-site tickets are unavailable due to Covid-19 regulations.

Once Upon a Time on the Orient Express ($25) is a pop-up exhibition at the west lawn, showcasing the iconic long-distance train. Originally exhibited in Paris, Singapore is the first country outside of France to display this spectacular train in its full glory. Hop onboard to be wowed by the 2 original 1930 train carriages and a 158-year-old locomotive! Historical artefacts and sights of international stopovers will also be available. Don’t forget to check out the escape room and the replica restaurant car helmed by a Michelin-starred chef!

This year, the grounds of Capitol Singapore and Chijmes have been transformed to reflect the dazzle of the holiday season. Inspired by The Nutcracker, this festive wonderland would be filled with light installations, Singing Tree carols, Nutcracker soldiers, and even snowfalls!
To further enhance your festive experience, visit Capitol’s Outdoor Plaza or Chijmes Lawn. Igloo-like, air-conditioned bubble fixtures can be found there for a magical night of dining under the stars, at absolutely no charge. So, what are you waiting for? End off your year on a high note with these exciting activities! We all certainly deserve a sweet break from the turmoil of 2020.
